Tane and his team have a real can do attitude to their work and customers. I have seen many of the cabins being built in the work shop and some once they have been delivered.
We have had many cabins built by True Home Cabins, and they really are True Homes.

You can choose what ever colour and furniture you want. They make it so easy to get what you really want.
Their after sales is also great.

Our home built by True Home Cabins has far exceeded our expectations, from the very beginning of planning to delivery it was a seamless experience. When we look at the home it just looks like it has always been, nestled amongst the trees.

Tane was always readily available for progress updates and to answer any queries we had, such an awesome team. The house itself is so warm and cosy with a perfect sized heat pump, the kitchen has plenty of bench and cupboard space even fitting a small dishwasher. The bathroom feels huge and again has plenty of bench and cupboard space. The shower dome is just a brilliant idea.

The whole design of the house it is just a no brainer for extra accommodation or in our case a permanent home, including the two cats who love the freedom of their cat door. Thank you Tane and to your crew again many thanks

We needed a cabin/tiny home to live in while our house was being built so researched over 12 suppliers and visited 8 sites in person to view cabins, several in Rotorua and the rest in Auckland.

True Home Cabins appealed to us on the first visit for a number of reasons. Tane was excellent to deal with and was very happy to customise our cabin, his cabins were the only ones that had stabiliser feet on each corner, and he was the cheapest, but the price definitely didn’t compromise on the quality. We also liked that it could be slightly wider because the spouting is at either end with the front to back gable through the middle and the extra height inside compared to a mono pitch.

Our cabin (10.2 x 3 m) was delivered on time and exactly to our specifications and we are very happy and proud with the result. We are finding it easy to live in and the spaces are working well. We have room for a top loader washing machine in the bathroom, plenty of bench space, a spacious corner pantry as well as a Californian King bed in the bedroom and a whole wall of storage. Perfect for our needs.

Friends that visit comment on how spacious it is. Within the first 2 weeks we had 3 people ask to have first choice when we sell it once our house is built. That speaks volumes about how good this cabin is and its resale potential.

We would recommend Tane and True Home Cabins to anyone looking to build. Would definitely build with him again if we ever needed to. You get what you want, when you want at a price that is very affordable compared to similar cabins. Tane keeps in touch every step of the way and sends progress photos. You won’t be disappointed.

The boys from Rotorua have done a great job building my place. 2 cabins 10.2 x 3mt and 4.2 x 2.5 mt. Both transported from Rotorua and tractored to site. The secondary building fully ablution to give me the extra home space. In the main home, bedrooms were also built same size to maximise lounge area.

I got a couple of extra jobs done to bring it together quicker such as: kitchen, fireplace, shower, gas califont, ceiling fans. The spiroloc fireplace takes up minimal space and it fits in snug but safe. On top of that full insulation on 4 sides, plus double glaze Joinery, its a very warm house.

The kitchen is working well, ample space for one person. The shower is solid which I like and the dome over the shower “A Must”.

The Toilet is a no water full compost system tagging onto worm cast.
The home is fully off grid. Power from Solar with the assistance of a back up generator if required.

This was a build from scratch so thanks to all that participated, from parts of the build, water, electrical, toilet, decks, it certainly is the only place I want to be nowadays.

I had Tane build me a tiny home I'm 80 years old and was so lucky to have chosen his business, he is a true gentleman and man of his word, his workmanship has been commented on positively by many of my visitors. This was such a big project for me and he made it a very smooth process given his trustworthiness and reliability. I had a problem with a toilet product and he was there promptly to back his workmanship.
